3. Upgrades This Summer

This summer, we're planning to make several major upgrades to our
servers. They include:

Mail server OS upgrade
We will be upgrading our mail server's OS 6/29/03 6AM-12PM.
        All mail and
file services will be unavailable during that time.

New File server
A new file server will be added. The new file server will
consolidate the different home directories we currently have for
     5101/1171 Etch computers and kepler.berkeley.edu.
maxwell.berkeley.edu will become a dedicated mail server. More
     information will be forthcoming.

New PCs in 5101 Etch
DECF received a donation from Intel for 20 new Dell computers (3
GHz, 512MB RAM, CDRW, zip drive, etc). We will be replacing the
computers in 5101 Etch later this summer.
