READING

By default, web browsing will display CJK characters correctly. If you want, you can also change your language setting before you log in. All the menu items will be displayed in the language of your choice.

WRITING

If you want to have English menus, but be able to input in CJK, you need to do the following:
  1. Right click on desktop and click on "New Terminal"

  2. Type
    japanese-input program-name
    chinese-input-traditional program-name
    chinese-input-simplified program-name
    korean-input program-name

    Some programs you can use are:
    gedit - Text Editor
    mozilla - Browser

  3. You need to issue the keyboard switch in order to start inputting in the right language.
    Japanese = Shift + SpaceBar
    Korean = Shift + SpaceBar
    Chinese = Control + SpaceBar

  4. To stop inputting in CJK, use the keyboard switch again.

PRINTING

Currently, you cannot print foreign languages in the Linux workstations.
