Back to Mail Setup Instructions

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts...

  2. Select your Account and click on Properties.

  3. Click on Advanced tab, CHECK This server requires a secure connection (SSL), and Click OK

  4. Click on Servers tab, fill in Outgoing mail (SMTP) and CHECK My server requires authentication, then click Close

  5. If you're using SBC DSL or other ISPs and mail does not go through then you need to use an alternate port: Under the Advanced tab (from step 3) make sure the Outgoing server (SMTP) is set to port 465. If that doesn't work, set it to port 587.
