Back to Mail Setup Instructions
- Make sure you're running Eudora 6.2.1 or later. To find out what
version of Eudora you're running, choose About Eudora from the
Help menu
- From the Tools menu, choose Personalities.
- Right click on <Dominant> under personality (each personality
represents one email account from which you check mail from. If you've
configured your newton account under another personality name, right
click on that one instead), then click on Properties
- Under Generic Properties tab, fill in Real Name, Email Address,
Username, SMTP server, and check follows.
- When sending mail, enter your DECF password when prompted.
NOTE: To check which Port you are using, click on Options
from the Tool menu, and roll down arrow from Category menu
to Port.
If selected Required, Alternate Port under Secure Sockets
when sending from step 4, then change SMTP Port to "465" or "587"
