Eudora Mail Relay
- Make sure you're running Eudora 6.x or later. To find out what
version of Eudora you're running, choose About Eudora from the
Help menu
- From the Specials menu, choose Settings. A Settings
window will pop up.
- Under Getting Started tab, make sure the following is
set:
Real Name: your-real-name (e.g., Arthur Dent)
SMTP Server: relay.decf.berkeley.edu
Email Address: your-DECF-username (e.g., adent)
- Click on Sending Mail icon on the left, make sure the following is set:
SMTP Server: relay.decf.berkeley.edu
Allow authorization: CHECKED
- Click on SSL icon on the left, make sure the following is set:
SSL for SMTP: Required (TLS)
If you're using SBC DSL or other ISPs and mail does not go through
then you need to use an alternate port:
SSL for SMTP: Required, Alternate Port
- Click on Miscellaneous icon on the left, make sure the following is set:
Use system keychain to store passwords: CHECKED
- Click OK
