Sending message to moderated list as list owner
If you as owner/moderator wish to send a message directly to the
mailing list from yourself, simply make the first line of the message
the "Approved: password" and then place one line space between the
password line and the first line of the message.

For example:

To: listname@newton.berkeley.edu
Subject: the subject of message

Approved: your-approval-password

This is a test of the public broadcast sytem.
Approving Messages

Add the line "Approved: approval-password" to the very first line of
the body, and then the entire contents of the original
message. (meaning there should not be a blank line before and after
the "Approved:" line.). Don't forget to edit out the all headers
except for everything after the From line. Note that there are all
message headers should start at the beginning of a line.

For people using Pine, you can forward the message to yourself and
edit it. For other mail clients, you need to copy and paste message.

For example:

To: listname@newton.berkeley.edu
Subject: doesn't matter

Approved: your-approval-password
