CLASS ACCOUNTS: If you want a DECF account, you can apply for one and have your files moved from your class account to your personal account. See below for details.
- You MUST be affiliated with the UC Berkeley Engineering Dept. (BioE, CE, IEOR, ME, MSE, NE, not EECS) to have an account (ie. faculty, staff, students, visiting scholars, researchers). By the Campus Computer Use Policy, you cannot keep your account if your affiliation with UC Berkeley has ended.
- Account forms are available outside 1111 Etcheverry or online
- On request, disabled accounts' files will be moved to active
accounts. Please specify the login name of
both accounts. Please do NOT specify passwords as it is insecure.
*Under special circumstances, you may be able to extend your account by making arrangements with your superior and having them email consult@newton.berkeley.edu. Just because they emailed consult@newton does NOT ensure that your account will be extended. Your account will only be extended if you and/or your superior received an email confirming that it has been extended.
