Using Floppy/Zip/CD-ROM Drives on LINUX Machines

How To Use:
- Place your Floppy/Zip/CD-ROM into the respective drive.
- Click on Redhat Menu -> Utilities -> Disk Management
- Highlight:
- /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto for the floppy drive.
- /dev/hdb4 /mnt/zip auto for the zip drive.
- /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom /iso9660 for the CD-ROM drive.
- Click on Mount. You will see a Floppy/Zip/CD-ROM icon on your desktop.
- Double click on the icon.
- Now you can drag and drop files.
- When you are done, you MUST UNMOUNT the disk before you pop it out!
- To unmount, click on Redhat Menu -> Utilities -> Disk Management
- Highlight the drive witht the mounted disk and click UNMOUNT.
- Now you can eject the disk from the drive by holding the eject button on thedrive or by typing eject on a console window to eject CD-ROMs.
